Welcome to the Montreal Irish R.F.C. website and we hope this gives you all the information you need regarding our club.

 

2008 was a huge year for us, with both 1st and 2nd grade men winning their cup finals and the 2nd grade women just losing out in theirs.  The men have been promoted to the Premier division and training is already underway for all teams to repeat and build on our success in 2009.

We pride ourselves on being a social club with a professional attitude and we are the only team in Quebec who owns its own field and clubhouse.  The rugby season runs from May through to October and includes league, play, touring and tournaments.  The MIRFC has been hosting their own international tournament every Labor Day weekend for almost 30 years.

Indoor training starts in the 3rd week of February and we train outdoors at Parc Dupuis in Verdun (downtown).  Both the men’s and women’s training sessions are Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6:00-8:30 pm
